Using Twitter to search for maternity bargains!

I wanted to suggest three reasons why you should use Twitter to search for maternity wear bargains, as this week it’s proven particularly helpful in finding some amazing clothes at rock bottom prices.

1. Find out about events

After my 12 week scan I started following brands such as Mothercare, JoJo Maman Bebe and Mamas and Papas on Twitter, as they post about new stock, outfit and nursery ideas and, more importantly, sale info.

JoJo Maman Bebe are based in Newport and they recently posted that they were having a Warehouse mega sale, and so I popped in yesterday and found some serious bargains!

Everything I bought was either £4 or £5 and so I got three items for baby and three items for me and the total was £27!

I am not sure how often they have the mega sales but they do promote them on social media or you can keep an eye on this page of their website - http://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/AFDajax.asp?action=detail&sitename=NEWPRT

Nursery furniture, toys, maternity wear and and baby clothes were all available and there was an extra 50% off all the ticket prices.

2. Find discount codes

Most brands will post on Twitter when they are having a flash sale or discount code, for example this one ASOS posted this week:

They regularly posted across the few days it was active as the code was only valid for a limited time; 20% discount is worth taking advantage of, especially if you need to buy something specific like maternity jeans or occasion wear, which are not that bargainous full price.

If you're like me you sometimes miss the email sale notifications because you receive so much email spam, and so for me keeping an eye on tweets is the way to go - thanks to Sarah Gunn for bringing the one above to my attention!

3. Find pop ups

I have mentioned the danish pop up sale on here before, that takes place at The Corner in Roath approximately once a month. It was on again this weekend and they have been promoting on Twitter and Facebook for the last week, which helped me to remember it would be on.

Louise and I both picked up a couple of bargains, with prices in there starting from £5. Definitely worth a look as there are cardigans and jewellery, scarves and bags for the pregnant among us and amazing regular clothes in a variety of sizes for everyone else.

Keep an eye on their social channels to see when the next pop up is on and remember it is cash only (and you will want to buy everything!).
