Spring has sprung on the maternity high street!

I don't know about you but for me the sunshine today was an unexpected highlight for the week where clothes are concerned. I am now 30 weeks and regularly find myself a sweaty mess by the end of the day (sometimes by 11.30am!), so the opportunity to wear lighter fabrics, generally less and flip flops was a welcome relief!

Apparently it may rain tomorrow but I am going to pretend I don't know this and plan for the weather we should expect in May, after all the weather people do have a habit of getting these things wrong...

The high street is most definitely feeling the Spring vibe and I have detailed below some cool items I have seen online in the high street maternity sections, as usual you can only buy most of this online, but for the Cardiff folk amongst you I was told today that Matalan on Queen Street do sell maternity wear in store - who knew?!

You know I'm partial to some denim so first up is this denim dungaree dress from Mamalicious, a little pricey at £45 but if you have a few months to go I think you would get a lot of wear out of this:

Next up is this grey and white stripe dress from Dorothy Perkins, a steal at £16.50 and they still have plenty of sizes left in stock. It is also a nursing dress so will see you through the Summer if you are expecting soon.

Next up are these cool suede espadrilles from Gap - £29.95, they look pretty comfy for tired feet, I don't know about everyone else but my feet are pretty chub these days and not many of my shoes fit anymore! I am also struggling with any that have fiddly straps - I don't know whether I am trying to put them on wrong or should just abandon all together!

If you have a special occasion coming up this floral number from New Look might do just the trick, £19.99 and in stock now. My sister in law Gemma has given me a few New Look dresses and I have to say they have been heaven sent for work, really comfortable, light fabrics and really smart compared to some of my other maternity wear.

I thought this dress would be perfect for a wedding / baby shower, the Dress is from ASOS £28, it's now out of stock but am keeping my eye on it!

At the top of my list at the moment are these H&M ankle grazer skinny jeans- £29.99:

Of all the items above the two I am most likely to buy are the spotty dress from ASOS and the skinny jeans from H&M, I still haven't had much luck on the jeans front and the pair I bought from Vertbaudet this week are going straight back. Honestly, I went for a size up than the ones I have now and they felt the same if not smaller, just the way you want to feel when trying on new clothes!!

Being comfortable at work is getting harder and harder, having to tackle stairs and then sit for long stints means I need to be in something that is both smart, cool (for the inevitable sweaty moments) and easy to move around in. If the weather stays like this I have a few dresses that have either been given to me or I have picked up in advance, so please cross your fingers for some more sunshine.

A few outfits from the last few week or so and their origin:

The £5 JoJo Maman bebe denim dress - remember to look out for the date of their next mega sale!

Dress donated by my lovely sister in law Gemma - from ASOS maternity:

My brilliant £12.50 Mothercare dungarees, bought on eBay!

A H&M top which was one of the first things I bought in my pregnancy and I have had so much wear out of, and Mothercare maternity jeans, they are running a competition on Twitter at the moment and you need to be in it to win it, check it out at #mothercaredenim

Last but not least today's outfit, the dress is from ASOS and was again given to me by Gemma, ridiculously comfy and something I wouldn't have worn pre pregnancy so nice to try new styles, with an All Saints denim waistcoat that I bought over a year ago on eBay and rarely have the guts to wear - this is my attempt at recreating a Pinterest board!

Hope you all have some comfy and stylish maternity wear on the go and any  bargains you find let me know! Particularly in the slip on comfortable footwear department!!

Have a great week all!
