Black tie pregnancy style!

When I first found out that I was pregnant one of the first apps I used was ASOS and I went straight to their maternity section. I am a huge fan of jumpsuits and couldn't wait to see what they had in store. Some of the outfits were a bit random but I loved this jumpsuit:

It was in the sale but I thought it was too early to start buying clothes and so saved it to favourites and forgot all about it. 

Several weeks later I was ready to start buying clothes and knew I had an event in March when I would need a black tie outfit, I went straight back to ASOS but they had already sold out - I'm not surprised as it was only £15! 

I hit eBay and kept searching for the same jumpsuit for a few days and it actually came up. So I got the jumpsuit above for £6.99 plus postage - with the tags on! 

The jumpsuit is going to be perfect when I'm a bit bigger but last week I needed an outfit for a black tie dinner and I am now 17 weeks, too big for my regular clothes but not big enough for some maternity wear. Cue ASOS again! This time I managed to get the dress below for £13.50 and I LOVE it! 


It's very comfy, a total bargain, and meant that I still felt dressed up! 

ASOS have some fantastic maternity occasionwear and if you have an event coming up I highly recommend you try there first! If you have premium you will also have free next day delivery and they also offer free refunds - for this event I bought 5 dresses to try and this was my favourite!

Holidays with a toddler and how IKOS resorts saved the day!

We've now been back from Greece for just over a week and I am still pining for IKOS Oceania ! This post is going to have a little about holidaying with a toddler, a little about IKOS resorts and a little about my holiday outfits, hopefully some or all of that will be of interest! Last picks of the January Sales

Having spent much of the last week awake, whilst our darling 17 month old is going through a sleep regression of mammoth proportions, I decided to make myself useful and see if there are any last minute bargains in the sales that we should all keep an eye on.  I've looked both for workwear and for summer wear, as if you have a holiday booked I would recommend that you pick up a few things now whilst they are cheap rather than paying full price the week of your holiday.  You all know that I am quite tight and don't like paying full price for anything and so sales time is my happy time, I have to say that I haven't had a huge amount of success this time around but that is probably a good thing as it is saying me some cash!  These are all high street and all available online in a variety of sizes as of today (9/1/18) ASOS  Red culottes - £10  I bought these and I love them!
