Work it baby!

Today's blog is about work wear! 

 I mentioned previously that I haven't found that many smart outfits for work, when you see outfits online they tend to be pretty boring and if you have to be really smart for work I think you would have to fork out for some fairly expensive dresses. 

 I am really lucky that our business attire is smart casual, and so as long as I have a couple of good pairs of maternity jeans the main thing I need for work are some smart tops. 

 For the first trimester I was also able to wear a black H&M blazer I have had for yonks but I can't fit in that anymore, so now I am wearing cardigans and layering with a variety of snoods for warmth! 

 A couple of smart tops I have found are below:

I only had the Mothercare one for a while and I was conscious everyone would notice I would wear the same top every meeting so bought the others in the last couple of weeks. 

 My favourite has to be the New Look one, it is unbelievably comfy and I feel really smart, the gold necklace I am wearing with it I got at H&M for £1! 

 A few places I would check out if you are looking for smart maternity work wear are below, these items are all in the shops now and are pretty reasonably priced if you need to invest in a real smart maternity work wardrobe.

For those wondering if I just keep spending money on clothes I have actually spent no where near as much as I thought I would. I love clothes but because I've had trouble finding jeans that fit really well I have mainly just picked up a few tops here and there when I see genuine bargains, so the total spend on maternity wear is relatively low. The best idea is to buy a bundle on eBay, I was watching one this week that I really wanted to win but it went for £42 in the end which was a lot more than I was prepared to pay!

Holidays with a toddler and how IKOS resorts saved the day!

We've now been back from Greece for just over a week and I am still pining for IKOS Oceania ! This post is going to have a little about holidaying with a toddler, a little about IKOS resorts and a little about my holiday outfits, hopefully some or all of that will be of interest! Last picks of the January Sales

Having spent much of the last week awake, whilst our darling 17 month old is going through a sleep regression of mammoth proportions, I decided to make myself useful and see if there are any last minute bargains in the sales that we should all keep an eye on.  I've looked both for workwear and for summer wear, as if you have a holiday booked I would recommend that you pick up a few things now whilst they are cheap rather than paying full price the week of your holiday.  You all know that I am quite tight and don't like paying full price for anything and so sales time is my happy time, I have to say that I haven't had a huge amount of success this time around but that is probably a good thing as it is saying me some cash!  These are all high street and all available online in a variety of sizes as of today (9/1/18) ASOS  Red culottes - £10  I bought these and I love them!
