The quest for maternity style on a budget!

I decided to start this blog this week as, having not had much success shopping in Cardiff for maternity wear, I decided to try shopping in Bristol. I sent out a few tweets in advance asking for shop recommendations and the response wasn't overly positive. Most people said that the only shops you could buy maternity wear in store were Topshop and H&M. It was the same in Cardiff, with Topshop having a very small range and the H&M range mainly covering what I would call basics. I was very surprised that John Lewis also only offers maternity  wear online.

Currently your main source of maternity wear has to be shopping online, Mothercare has a good range and they have a lot of shops but it is just one range, and if you are anything like me you don't buy all of your regular clothes from one shop.

I am now on a mission to find stylish maternity wear that doesn't break the bank, I usually buy all of my clothes in the sales and have been shocked at the mark up for maternity clothes, so am on the hunt for bargains that aren't boring!

I am going to group the clothes together in case people are looking for a particular event / style and will also post if I find a particular sale / set of bargains somewhere.

I am also going to tell you the price of everything as it drives me mad on Pinterest when I click through on an outfit and it doesn't tell me exactly where it was bought and for how much!

I would appreciate it if any mums out there could also post advice in the comments if you found a great source of clothes when you were pregnant, to help us all out!

This was me at 16 weeks:

The Jeans are black (I will take a closer photo as well as these are brilliant)  from H&M, the denim shirt is from Vertbaudet and the floral jumper is from Next maternity and I bought as part of a bundle on eBay.

I would check our Vertbaudet if you haven't already, as they offer 30% discount and free delivery on your first order. I wish I had bought more on my first order as they do offer free returns and I have subsequently bought more items to try.

Jeans - £24.99
Shirt - £21
Jumper - part of a £10 bundle from eBay

Happy shopping!
